37.5m Pedestrian cycle way bridge – Vincentia Wardrope & Carroll were awarded the contract by Shoalhaven City council to supply, fabricate, and install a 37.5m long pedestrian and cycle way bridge located at Vincentia on the NSW south coast. This area of coastline is often voted as having the whitest sand in Australia. Great care was taken during the construction, especially during the civil stage, to protect the local environment. The bridge was painted in a special dulux 2 pack paint system, providing greater protection than galvanizing. The deck of the bridge is EFC decking color matched to the council’s requirements. Project completed May 2011

This included fixing them to pre-cast slabs which were also done in-house. They were then transported to site. Each rest stop has 2 off 4000L water tanks. One mounted underground for collection of waste, the other to collect and use rain water. All that was needed to be done on-site was to hook up the toilets to the tanks. The rest stops also had solar powered lights installed. Project completed July 2011
